Free CPR Class – Sedro-Woolley
The Skagit County EMS Commission will offer free CPR classes to the public during National EMS Week, May 20-24. Participants in the classes will receive instruction in adult, child and infant CPR and AED. Other topics will include choking prevention, signs and symptoms of heart attack, stroke and cardiac arrest, and prevention. Medic One will provide certification cards from the American Safety and Health Institute to those students who request them. Curriculum is based on standards from the American Heart Association. A limited number of spots will be available. Call the Skagit County EMS office at (360) 428-3230 or (360) 428-3236 to sign up for the class. Go to www.skagitems.com for additional information about this training, including classes in other cities.

Live Action Angry Birds (Teen event) – Burlington
You've played the game on your phone, now play it for reals. Launch stuffed angry birds at larger-than-lif​e fortresses, knocking out pigs for points. Bring two friends to make a team of three, or show up solo and ally with others.

Community Spaghetti Sauce Taste-Off Dinner – La Conner
This community event is a fundraiser for the beautiful hanging flower baskets that line Morris and First Streets from May - August each year. Money raised will help offset the purchase and watering of the plants. Sauces are contributed by area restaurants and La Conner School Culinary class. Desserts are contributed by local bakeries and La Conner School. Vote on your favorite and enjoy a full plate of Spaghetti dinner!
Location: Maple Hall, 104 Commercial Ave, La Conner, WA
Cost: Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for children 3-10 yrs and seniors 60+ yrs. Tickets are pre-sold at Visitor Center, 511 Morris St, or at the door.

Fidalgo Youth Symphony – Mount Vernon
The Fidalgo Youth Symphony, under the direction of Sharyn Peterson, will present its spring finale concert. Three soloists will be featured at the event: violinist Shalana Vanderlinden of Oak Harbor will perform “Sérénade Mélancolique” by Tchaikovsky; violinist Katie Swanson of Lyman will perform “Concerto in B” by Handel; and saxophonist Wyatt Homola of Oak Harbor will perform “Concerto in E flat major” by Glazunov.The symphony will perform many other favorites, honor its high school seniors and announce scholarship winners.

Cost: Tickets: $15 adults, $10 seniors, $1 children and students.

Kids R.E.C. – Anacortes
For ages Pre K-4th Grade. Read, Explore, and Create. If you like to read or listen to stories, explore new projects and create a tasty treat then this class is for you. Come spend the afternoon having a little fun making projects, tasty treats and hearing a story. **Parents can drop their child off.

10:00am-12:00pm, on the ½ hour
Michaels Kids Club “Craft Your Hero Doll” – Burlington
Let your kids explore their creativity while you shop! Only $2 per child reserves 30 minutes for your creative kid. Sessions starting every half hour from 10AM - 11:30AM. See a store associate to join the fun!

Share A Sundae Family Night – Mount Vernon

I just want to say  thanks for the great web site you guys have put together!  As a single dad with my four year old daughter every Thurs-Sunday I sometimes struggle with trying to find new activities for us to do in our area. So thanks again for making it easier for me to plan out our weekends!
